Jean, Jeff, and grandkids. I am sorry for your loss and offer my sincere condolences. We are out of town and missed the services for which we are sorry. There are no explanations for some things but knowing you for so many years, I know you have hope beyond the grave through the love, mercy, and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the adoption into His family by God the Father. May the Holy Spirit guide, comfort, and strengthen you. May he lift your spirits, and provide you companionship and fellowship as you and your family recover from the loneliness Jerry's homegoing will bring. That's the bright side of the passing of a child of God. Jerry's home and enjoying the presence of Jesus for which we all have the eternal Hope of joining him there.
As for memories, there are so, so many over the years - the beach, tennis matches and tournaments, volleyball, card games late into the night, Sunday School socials and classes, girls' softball. Through all those things, Jerry was always Jerry. To me, he didn't try to be someone he wasn't. Always joyful, competitive, and playful, but honest, thoughtful, and caring. There are too many specific memories in this limited space to recall. But as I think of some of them, they bring a smile to my soul as I think of all the fun and fellowship.
Jean, just know that I, and Myra, will lift you, Jeff and the grandkids up in prayer and I know that you know that God hears. He will use time and comfort to heal the loneliness and hurt. May He bless you to the point that you can feel His presence and the outpouring of His love.

It was deeply painful for me to hear of Jerry's passing. We used to have a lot of fun with banter I want another at the Randolph Post Office many years ago when we work together. I wish to offer my sincere condolences to all the family and especially Jeffrey, comma Hey and I worked together some years back at this downtown Post Office.
