To the family: Even though this is a sad time for you, try to remember the part of your life that your loved one shared. Try to fill your hearts with hope and appreciation for the kind of life your loved one lived. We are very thankful for the promise Jesus gave us at John 5:28,29. We are very thankful for the ransom because as a result of it, it makes the resurrection a reality. We are thankful for the tears shed by Jesus when his close friend Lazarus died showing his deep concern for those who mourn. We are thankful for the Bible;s reference to death as an enemy that will soon no longer threaten the human family. May the holy spirit embrace you during this time of grief.
