Jennings Evans, II's Obituary
Mr. Walter Jennings Evans, II, age 19, of Banner Elk, North Carolina, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2016, at his grandparent's home in Wingate, North Carolina.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 4:30 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Avery County High School at 401 Avery County High School Road in Newland, North Carolina, officiated by Reverend George Wright. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service.
Jennings was born on June 5, 1997, a son of Walter David Evans and Beth Ann Cuthbertson Evans. He graduated from Avery County High School in June and was planning to attend college to receive his degree in forestry.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dr. David Arnold Evans and Lona Ann Batten Evans.
Survivors include his parents, Walter Evans and Beth Cuthbertson Evans of Banner Elk, NC; his sister, Lona Ann Evans of Banner Elk, NC; his maternal grandparents, Everett and Regina Cuthbertson of Wingate; maternal great-grandmother, Elga Cuthbertson of Wingate; his godfather, Monty Childers and wife, Maria Mevs, of Wilmington, NC; his uncles and aunts, Todd Cuthbertson and fiancée, Hannah Long, of Wingate, Alisa Evans Murray and husband, Brian, and Elizabeth Evans Hargett, all of Missouri City, Texas.
The family will receive friends Wednesday Night, August 24, 2016, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
