Jeffrey Allen Hutchins' Obituary
Mr. Jeffrey Allen Hutchins, age 51, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence.
A Memorial Service for Jeff will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the H. Vann Davis III Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin St., Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Rev. James Davidson. At the request of and out of respect for Jeff's family, masks will be required for attendance.
Jeffrey was born July 9, 1970, in Fayetteville, NC. He grew up in many locations: Fayetteville, NC, Burlington, VT, Bad Tolz, Germany, and El Paso, TX. He graduated from Hanks High School in El Paso, TX and moved to Charlotte, NC where he worked in the service industry and attended Central Piedmont Community College. Jeff's love of the outdoors led him to pursue a career in environmental concerns. Dedicated to preserving the tree canopy and the natural environment, Jeff was certified by the International Society of Arboriculture as an arborist, a qualification that less than 600 individuals hold in the world. In addition to his knowledge and appreciation of God's creation, Jeff was a considerate man with a good heart. A man who brought his mother flowers every time he came to dinner, he was loving, thoughtful, and considerate. Jeff will be greatly missed and his kind and compassionate nature will be forever remembered.
Those left to cherish Jeff's memory include his son, Alex Hutchins of Unionville, NC, his daughter, Caitlyn Rooney (Patrick), and granddaughter Olivia of Thornton, CO. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Godfrey Hutchins- Zuber and stepfather Darrell Zuber of Indian Land, SC, his sister, Cheryl Telenko of Charlotte, NC, his nephew, Troy Telenko (Melissa) of Denver, NC, and his father Arthur Hutchins of Marlboro, MD.
