Jeffrey Edward Hawley's Obituary
Jeffrey Edward Hawley, 65, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare. A visitation will be held from 12-1:45PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care-Albemarle. His funeral service will be at 2PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel, Albemarle, NC with Pastor Keith Menius officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jeff was born August 25, 1958 in Orange County, VT to the late Malcolm and Shirley Hawley. Jeff is affectionately known as “Pops” to his children and more importantly to his grandkids. Jeff was an active member with the Millingport VFD when his health permitted. He never met a challenge he couldn’t conquer one-handed. Jeff will always be remembered for his hardworking skills and his service to others.
Jeff is survived by three sons; Josh Hawley (Jaycie) of New London, NC, Zach Hawley (Lisa) of New Port Richey, FL and Christopher Hawley (Kayla) of Albemarle, NC. He is also survived by one sister; Ellen Martin (Steve); brothers; Andrew Hawley (Judy) and Robert Hawley (Deb), and grandchildren; Silas, Daisey, Willow, Kai, Azalea, and Canaan. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Phyllis Hawley.
