Jeffrey K. Covington, 61, of New London passed away November 4, 2016 in Duke University Medical Center, Durham.? A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, November 10th, 2016 in Christ Episcopal Church, Albemarle with Fr. Jim Bernacki officiating.? The family will host a celebration of life event from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday evening at the Rosebriar Restaurant on Wiscassett Street in Albemarle following the service.
Mr. Covington was born August 24, 1955 ?and was raised in Richmond County, NC, the son of the late Thomas Crawford Covington Jr. and Elmina Covington-Roberts.
Mr. Covington is survived by his wife, Claudia Martin Covington.? Other survivors include sons Thomas C. Covington III (Casey) of Albemarle and Blaine A. Covington (Victoria) of Albemarle, brother Ron Covington (Mary) of Asheboro, and three grandchildren Alexis, Emery, and August, who loved their "Pappy".
