Jeanette Lowder's Obituary
Jeanette Lowder Key, 77, of New London, NC passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her home. Her funeral will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Faith Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Tucker officiating. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care on Monday from 6 till 8 PM.
Born July 11, 1939 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Lentz Lowder and Mary Louise Harrington Lowder. She retired from American Fiber and Finishing of Albemarle. Mrs. Key was an active member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She loved gardening, crafts and sewing, and cooking. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Jeanette was married to Lonnie Ray Phillips of Albemarle prior to her husband, Bobby Gray Key, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Dianne Hatley (David) of New London, one step daughter, Misti Shue of Albemarle, 5 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a wonderful friend, Nancy Mason of Kernsville, NC. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Alvin Ray Phillips, and one granddaughter.
