Jean Stokes' Obituary
Mrs. Jean Bucy Stokes, age 89, of Weddington, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, with visitation to begin at 10:00 AM prior to the ceremony.
Mrs. Stokes was born on April 30, 1925, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Nicus Samuel Bucy and Bertha Marie Stewart Bucy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Niles Marvin Stokes who passed in 1994.
Jean was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce S. Cochran and husband, John Cochran of Weddington, NC; two grandsons, John David Cochran and Joseph (Joey) Lyle Cochran; a sister, Anita Mullins of Dawson Springs, KY; two brothers, John Bucy of Huntsville, AL and Theron Bucy of Tampa, FL.
