Jean Jackson's Obituary
Mrs. Jean Purser Jackson, age 86, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Frank Crump. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was born on June 7, 1928, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Adam Purser and Daisy Simpson Purser.
She was a self-employed hair dresser.
She was preceded in death by two former husbands Emmette Thomas and Bobby Jackson; two sisters Doris Stegall and Ruth Rushing; two brothers Earle Purser and Neubert Purser.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandy T. Wicker and husband Mike of Wingate, NC; two grandsons Brandon Wicker and wife Jennifer of Wingate, NC and Brian Wicker and wife Becky of Marshville, NC; one great- granddaughter Molly Rylan Wicker and a great- grandson Luke Michael Wicker. The family would like to thank Mrs. Jackson's caregivers Louise Price, Yvonne Tolley, Nancy Funderburk, and Betty Evans.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 16, 2014. from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
