I acquainted Dr. Boone as a faculty member of Stanly Tech. He was always professional yet approachable and kind. I enjoyed the work atmosphere he created and felt appreciated. When I found myself hospitalized and concerned for my job and students, he made a personal visit to my bedside to encourage and later to my office to welcome me back. That spoke volumes to me and earned him my lifelong respect and admiration.

In 1966 I was a student in Dr.Boone's US History 101 class.He was strict,he was tough,he had high expectations for all of his students,he made history come to life,he was fair, and he was nice.He was the best professor of my life.He was my favorite professor ever.
