In Loving Memory of Jay Nom Pov Thao

His grandparents are Chue Zeb Hang and Mai Thor (2020) and Chay Ko Thao (2021) and Sia Yang (2021). His family relocated to Albemarle, NC in 1998 and has resided here since.
In September 2009, Jay married his wife, Susan Xiong and was then entrusted with his npe laus, Nom Pov. Jay Nom Pov built a life with Susan and their three children: Jewelynn (13), Madelynn (9) and Lance (7) and was currently residing in Concord, NC. Jay Nom Pov was a devoted husband and father. It was apparent that his love for his children was pure, unselfish and unconditional.
Most weekends, you’ll find Jay Nom Pov spending time with his family just enjoying each other’s company. Family was the most important thing for him and he created unforgettable childhood memories with his family and friends. He was known for his love for karaoke with his brothers, sisters, and cousins. Most summers, you’ll find him at the lake or on the beach enjoying the time spent with his children, nieces, and nephews as they are swimming, building sandcastles or just enjoying the view.
However, Jay Nom Pov never goes to the lake or beach without his fishing gear. Fishing was a hobby that he enjoyed most. You’ll find him fishing with his brothers, brother-in-law’s, and friends and when he catches a striper, he will flash the biggest smile on his face; the smile that his family will miss dearly.
