Jason Edward Washburn's Obituary
Jason Edward Washburn, 50, of Oakboro passed peacefully away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. His funeral service will be 11 AM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle with Dr. Terrell Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at their home in Oakboro on Monday evening from 4 until 7 PM.
Born November 27, 1970 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was the son of the late Morris Edward Washburn and Patricia Vivian Evitt Bunn. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakboro and was a biomedical technician who did field service on Heart and Lung Machines. He enjoyed golf and politics and was a history buff. He was also a veteran of the US Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Chassity Speight Washburn of the home, son Zach Washburn and daughter Hannah Washburn, both of the home, sister Ellie Smith (Chad) of Oakboro, and stepfather Richard Bunn of Albemarle.
