James Robert "Robb" Walker's Obituary
Mr. James Robert "Robb" Walker, Jr., age 52, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Monroe, North Carolina. Born on June 24, 1972, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Robb lived a life marked by dedication to his work, devotion to his family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Robb pursued higher education at Wingate University before earning his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law. He spent the majority of his professional life working in real estate transactions, where he applied his knowledge and diligence to help others navigate important milestones.
Outside of work, Robb found joy in the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also had a passion for reading and a deep love for music that brought him peace and inspiration throughout his life. His faith was an important part of who he was; he was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where he enjoyed serving in various roles over the years.
Above all else, Robb cherished his role as a father. He loved his son James Robert Walker III (Beau) deeply and took great pride in their bond. He is also remembered by his father James Walker; his sister Melanie Walker Tripp (Dennis); and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward memories of time shared with him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Walker.
A memorial gathering to honor Robb’s life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Davis Chapel- Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Monroe, located at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 10 am until 10:45 am prior to the hour of service.
