James Thomas Sullivan, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Thomas Sullivan, Sr., age 75, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital Main in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of James Thomas Sullivan, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2013, at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Mr. Sullivan was born on May 20, 1937, in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, a son of the late Oscar Thomas Sullivan and Bertha Jordan Sullivan.
He was married to the late Jean Brock Sullivan, who passed in 2010, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Carol Sullivan in 1974.
Mr. Sullivan began his employment with Pepsi in 1969 as a Route Salesman and continued in various positions throughout his 37 years of dedicated service.
Survivors include two sons, James T. (Jimmy) Sullivan, Jr. and wife Annette Sullivan of Monroe, and Larry D. Sullivan and wife Angie Sullivan of Monroe; three brothers, Charles Sullivan and wife Bobbie Jean Sullivan of Monroe, Richard Sullivan and wife Marie Sullivan of Pageland, and Bobby Sullivan and wife Martha Sullivan of Pageland; a sister, Mildred Payne and husband John Payne of Indian Trail; two grandchildren, Amanda and Zach Taylor of Monroe, and Ashley and Sam Steele of Monroe; two great grandchildren, Ally Taylor of Monroe and Payton Steele of Monroe; his fiancee, Lois Hoggard of Midland; and his faithful companion, Daffy of many years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday Evening, March 3, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.
