James Edward Sloop's Obituary
James Edward Sloop “Jimmy” 62, of Stanfield, NC passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The funeral service will be at 1 PM Friday, March 1, at Providence Church of God in Locust officiated by Rev. Jerry Ingle. Burial will follow in the Providence Church of God cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12 to 1 PM.
Jimmy was born January 26, 1962 in Cabarrus County, NC to Billy Mack and Shelby Jean Beamon Sloop. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Bill and Shelby Sloop, his siblings; Billie (Dennis) Kiker of Locust, Sandy (Dale) Williams of Locust, and Bobbie (Jeff) Furr of Oakboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Providence Church of God at 12474 NC 24-27 Hwy Locust, NC 28097.
