James H. Rollins' Obituary
Mr. James H. Rollins, age 74, of Monroe, North Carolina, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.
A memorial service to celebrate James' life will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Davis Chapel in Monroe, NC.
James was born on April 2, 1950, in Jefferson, South Carolina, a son of the late Holice Rollins and Nancy Melton Rollins. He was a brick mason by trade and he enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, and watching sports in his free time. His faith in Jesus was important to him and he would talk about it often. He was also lovingly called Paw Paw Jim, Uncle James, and Jimbo by those closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rabon Rollins and his sister Carrie Sue Broome, both of Monroe, NC.
Surviving to treasure his memory are his two daughters. Stacey Rollins of Matthews, NC and Stephanie Rollins (Kyle) Doster of Charlotte, NC and one son, Todd James Rollins of Charlotte, NC; his brother Randy Rollins of Wadesboro, NC; his two sisters, Patricia Brantley and Brenda Rollins, both of Monroe, NC. There are three grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, and Leighton and two great - grandchildren, Ensley and Elias, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
While we mourn here on Earth, there is a celebration in Heaven. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
