James William Lewis' Obituary
James ?Pluty? William Lewis, 74, of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System Stanly. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on February 15, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church in Albemarle officiated by Father Jim Bernacki. The family will receive friends in the church parish hall following the service.
Mr. Lewis was born March 21, 1942 in Stanly County to the late Alma Eury Lewis and Wade Columbus Lewis. He retired from Compass USA as a service technician and had a second retirement with the Stanly County convenience center in Richfield, NC. Pluty loved fishing and playing cards. He was known to all as ?Mr. Fix It.? ?Mr. Lewis was a really good man, husband, father, brother, and friend.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 51 years Alice Talbert Lewis of the home; son Timothy James Lewis and wife Sally of Livermore, CA; granddaughter Natasha Marie Lewis; and a sister Vickie Lewis Aughtry and husband Ken of Clover, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Wendy Michelle Lewis.
