James ""Pat"" Kirkley's Obituary
Mr. James "Pat" Kirkley, age 80, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Jack Hildreth and Reverend Jeff Smith. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park with full Masonic Rites and Military Rites.
Mr. Kirkley was born on September 15, 1933, in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He was the original owner of the Produce Center and K & M Used Cars for 35 years.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church; lifetime member of Waccoma Lodge, Tradesbille, SC; Monroe York Rite; lifetime member of Union County Shrine Club; Member Oasis Shriners; Oasis Camping Club; Order of the Easter Star #113 of Monroe. He was also a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Kirkley was preceded in death by his son Sgt. James Kirkley, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Griffin Kirkley of the home; one daughter, Robin Flynn and husband, Joe; one son, Dennis Sistare and wife, Delores; his daughter-in-law, Robin Moore Kirkley; six grandchildren; Brent Sistare and wife, Lindsey, Cassidy Brazelton and husband, Tim, Taylor Flynn, Kimberly Flynn, Miranda Kirkley and Nicholas Kirkley. There are seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Burgess and Doris Aubra.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 14, 2014, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe.
