James William Kennedy Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Kennedy, age 61, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of James Kennedy will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, officiated by Pastor Benny Helms. Eulogy will be given by John Hunt.
Interment will follow at Waxhaw City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, prior to the funeral at Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Kennedy was born on August 15, 1951, in Joanna, South Carolina, a son of the late James William Kennedy Sr and Hazel Crocker Kennedy.
He was married to the late Paulette Helms Kennedy, who passed on October 2, 2002.
He was a retired film developer.
Survivors include his eight children, Melissa Kennedy of North Myrtle Beach, Patty Phelps of Georgia, Terry Price of North Myrtle Beach, Gary Helms of North Myrtle Beach, Kathy Price of Wadesboro, Rhonda Williams of Monroe, Linda Trull of Charlotte and Pamela Parks of North Myrtle Beach; a sister, Flora Mae Taylor of Lexington, SC and a brother, Mitchell Kennedy of Charlotte.
There are 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
