James Cletus Hendrick's Obituary
James Cletus Hendrick, 96, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bethany Woods Nursing Center. His service will be Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church from 1:30 until 2:30 PM prior to the service.
Born July 10, 1919 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Scott Hendrick and Onnie Harwood Hendrick. He was retired from Wiscassett Mill Co. and also worked for the Stanly News and Press and Wakenhut Security. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, he also served as deacon.
Mr. Hendrick was married to the late Pauline Rhodes Hendrick who preceded him in death May 8, 2001. Survivors include a son, Billy Joe Hendrick and wife Sandy of Albemarle; a daughter, Linda Rummage and husband Johnnie of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Lynette Foster, Christy Bargesser and husband Michael, and Danielle Mills and husband Jonathan; and ten great-grandchildren.
