James Lewis Hatley's Obituary
James Hatley, 76, of Albemarle, NC passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his home. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Monday, April 29, at 2:30 PM at Centerview Baptist Church in Albemarle with Pastor Adam Hatley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Born June 12, 1947, in Stanly County, he was the son of the late James Luther Hatley and the late Chester Juanita Talbert Hatley. James was a graduate of North Stanly High School. He worked for 26 years at E. J. Snyder as an electrician and retired from Lowes in Albemarle as an electrical specialist. James was an active member and Deacon of Centerview Baptist Church. He was also an all-around great athlete. He played several years of softball and golf and made numerous friends over the years.
James is survived by his loving wife, Diane Caudle Hatley of Albemarle, his daughter, Karen H. Eudy (Robert) of Richfield, son, Mitchell L. Hatley (Betsy) of Rock Hill, SC, three grandchildren, Austin Lee Eudy, Cooper Levi Hatley, and Baxter Lowell Hatley. James is also survived by his sister Joann Isenhour (Ricky) of Gold Hill, NC.
