James Darrell Frick's Obituary
James “Darrell” Frick, 89, beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Albemarle passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 in his home. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Father Andrew Frick officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P. M. at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care prior to the hour of the service.
Born September 5, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Walter Glen Frick and Ruth Shipton Frick. Mr. Frick was a member of the Methodist Faith and was the owner of Frick Appliance Service, Inc. for over 50 years. In his earlier years he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and boater.
Mr. Frick is survived by his wife Barbara Frick of the home. Additional survivors include son Stephen Frick (Janet) of Greensboro, daughter Kimberly Quigley (Mike) of Wisconsin, stepdaughter Jennifer Almond (Wesley) of Albemarle, stepson Kent Lowder (Amy) of Mt. Pleasant, sister Delores Fiore of Arizona and brother Tony Frick of New London, six grandchildren Melissa Frick, Amber Frick, Kelly Frick, Father Andrew “Adam” Frick, Josh Turner, Kaitlin Pikul, four great-grandchildren Tasya and Ian Frick and Owen and Evelyn Turner, five step-grandchildren Jaycie Hawley, Weslyn Almond, Chloe, Ava and Silas Lowder, and daughter-in-law Brenda Frick.
He is preceded in death by his son Jeff Frick and granddaughter Jordan Frick as well as his first wife Gladworth Morgan Frick.
