Sonny married us on 5/28/04 and we are just seeing this. Our hearts ache with this news today. So sad to see but know he is with the Father now. RIP Sonny.

Sonny was truly a friend. I played softball, and attended church with Sonny. He could sing like a bird, and you knew the words of the song were heart felt. He could smile and laugh like no other. Sonny and I always had love for one another, and he will be missed. Top the Family, my heart goes out to you. May God comfort and bless you all.

Sonny Rogers will be missed by all of my family. He led two of my children to the Lord, married Randy and I on 10-10-2010, my mentor, my Pastor, and my friend. I still cannot believe that he has gone home. He was an exceptional man, husband, father, and pastor. Those who had not ever had the opportunity to know this man, will never know what they have missed. He has been, and contributed so much to this community, that no words will ever be enough to say about the man he was. From avid sports player, to police officer, to singer and pastor, he accomplished more in his short life here on this earth, and touched so many lives, and has left a wonderful legacy, that will never be accomplished by a lot of people. I know myself, and my family, are better people today because of this loving man.. God Bless you Sonny for leading so many people to the Lord. Sometimes there are no words that can really express the pain that we feel when someone so special leaves us. It is then we are reminded that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of our heart and grants us his comfort and peace. Romans 8:26; 2 Corinthians 1:2,3; John 6:40. Remembering James always in our heart. Extending our deepest condolences to his family.
