Jackie Edward Helms' Obituary
Mr. Jackie Edward Helms, age 65, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be Monday, December 8, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service at 1:30 PM, conducted by the Reverends Leland Stephens, Mitchell Griffin and Eddie Price. Burial with full Military Rites will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Helms was born on July 9, 1949 in Monroe, North Carolina, son of the late J.D. Raeford Helms and Lucille Threatt Helms. He was a retired land surveyor. He was also a United States Army Veteran. He was predeceased by two brothers, James "Jimmy" A. Helms and Larry P. Helms.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea "Ann" Biggers Helms, two daughters, Amber "Nikki" Nicole Forbis (Andy) and Devin Leigh Sharpe (David) all of Monroe. Additional survivors include a sister Ann H. Rushing of Monroe and a granddaughter Hannah Grace Murray of Monroe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
