Iris Elizabeth Barbee Yow, 72, of Locust passed away
February 26, 2019 at CHS-Northeast in Concord.
Her funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Kinza
Memorial Baptist Church in Stanfield with Rev. Darrell Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral
and Cremation Care of Locust from 6 until 8 PM on Friday evening.
The family will gather at the home of Crystal Yow, 6306 Fish
Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.
Born October 12, 1946 in Concord, NC, she was the daughter of the late Homer Barbee and Allease Krimminger Barbee and was a retired cook.? She was a graduate of West Stanly High School and was a faithful member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church.? She loved getting together with her family and she was active in the Locust Senior Center.?
Mrs. Yow was preceded in death by her husband J Doyce ?Whitey?
Yow and a grandson, and is survived by her daughters Tammy Beneika Bolen
(Henry) of Albemarle, Crystal Yow of Marshville and Cathy Thomas of Concord,
brother Ray Stanley Barbee of Indian Trail, 7 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.
