Iralee Middleton Starnes' Obituary
Mrs. Iralee Middleton Starnes, age 95, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Marshville, North Carolina.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Iralee Starnes will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, officiated by Reverend Frank Crump.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Starnes was born on September 13, 1918, in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Lee Walter Middleton and Emma Nancy Holley Middleton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Drew Gantson Middleton and three sisters, Bernice Steele, Emily Moore and Ada Lee.
She was married to the late Herschel Starnes.
Iralee was a retired inspector with Springs Industries.
Survivors include two sons, Chip Eric Starnes and Beverly of Waxhaw and Danny Wayne Starnes and Susan of Waxhaw.
There are five grandchildren, Shana Marie Starnes Chan, Erica Michelle Starnes , Jacob Daniel Starnes, Jessica Morris Howard and Jordan Kyle Morris; one great grandchild, Sebastian Chan.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014, prior to the ceremony at Davis Funeral Home.
