Horace James Waller's Obituary
Horace James Waller, 94, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.? His funeral service will be graveside at 11 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Fairview Memorial Park? with Rev. Delane Burris officiating.? Full military rites will be given by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team.
Born December 2, 1921 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late John Waller and Zella Mabe Waller and was a retired employee of Albemarle Retreading.? He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Marine Corp having served in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lula Mae Hopkins Waller in 1986.? Survivors include daughter Patricia Waller Tarlton of Charlotte, sister Edna W. Mauney of Winston Salem, two grandchildren Tammy Tarlton Wade and husband Mark of Charlotte and Michael Todd Tarlton of Concord, and a great granddaughter Natalie Elaine Wade of Charlotte.
Family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
