Horace Miller Thompson's Obituary
Horace Miller Thompson, 78, of Albemarle, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Thompson was born November 20, 1938 in Charlotte, NC to the late Arlene Pelletier Thompson and Edward Thompson. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Mausoleum at Charlotte Memorials Gardens in Charlotte, N.C. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife Linda Thompson of the home; children Rhodema Near and husband Michael of Concord, NC, Georgia Thompson and husband Melvin Williams of Charlotte, NC, Helen Thompson of Albemarle, NC; step children Michelle Williamson, James Addison, II of Albemarle, Henslee Addison of Albemarle, and Peggy Williamson of Albemarle; ?3 grandchildren, Robert Motley, Kimberly and husband Justin Bestgen Sr., and ?Maggie Thompson; 7 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 18 brother and sisters; sister-in-law?s Jacquelin Anderson, Nora and Patrick Gamble, Kathy and Frankie Klouse; 50 nieces and nephews; special nieces and nephews Nora and Johnny Dunn, Sonya Wright, Cathy Graves, Kevin Graves, Michael and Kenza Anderson, Jerry and Amy Anderson. Horace is preceded in death by his first wife Georgia Thompson, granddaughter Melinda Motley, several brothers and sisters, brothers and sister in law Lunet and Danny Moses, James Anderson, and a nephew Jack Moses.
