Hilda L. Thompson's Obituary
Hilda Carpenter Thompson, 85, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 in her home. Her funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Thompson and Trent Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm until 2pm at the church.
Mrs. Thompson was born March 30, 1936 in Rowan County, NC to the late Spencer Carpenter and Zula Foutz Carpenter. She was a home maker and was a longtime member of Palestine United Methodist Church.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Kemp Thompson. She is survived by her children, Trent Thompson and friend Nancy Clark, Sherri Harwood (Jeff), Darrell Thompson (Tammy), Ron Thompson (Liz), Robby Thompson (Jean) all of Albemarle, NC and Pam Padgett (Ron) of S. Myrtle Beach, SC; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Hoy Carpenter.
