Herman L Blalock's Obituary
Herman Louis Blalock passed away at Atrium Health (Stanly County) on Sunday March 28, 2021 at 3:56pm at the age of 77.
Herman is predeceased by his, mother Daisy Goins Blalock, father George C. Blalock, brothers Bobby Ray, Tom, and Craig Blalock.
Herman lived by his loving wife Diane Blalock of 56 years.
Herman is lovingly remembered by his children, Selina Blalock of Richfield, Herman Jr. (Michelle) of New London; Grandchildren, Dylan Blalock (Jordan) of Mint Hill, Kennedy Blalock (Holden) of Norwood, Tripp, Lola,and Allie of New London; sisters, Shirley Mauldin of Norwood and Etta Hathcock of Norwood.
Herman was born in Norwood , N.C. on October 6, 1943. He attended Norwood High School. He then enlisted in United States Navy. Herman retired from Clancy and Theys Construction as a superintendent. Herman enjoyed spending time with his family, he enjoyed working outside in the yard, and he also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Lady.
Herman was a member of Richfield Baptist Church, Richfield, N.C.
The visitation will be held at Stanly Funeral Home Albemarle, N.C. on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 1:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 2:00pm with Reverend Jeremy Blake officiating. Interment will follow at Richfield Cemetery, South Cemetery St. Richfield, N.C., 28001.
