Herbert Vernon Underwood's Obituary
Herbert Vernon Underwood, 70, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Charlotte. His funeral will be Thursday, January 14 at 2 PM at First Lutheran Church in Albemarle with Pastor John W. Futterer officiating. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor following the service.
Born November 9, 1945 in Lake Wales, FL he was the son of the late James Herbert Underwood and Gloria Chapman Underwood. Mr. Underwood is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Smith Underwood. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Underwood of Charlotte, NC and James Underwood of Atlanta, GA. Other survivors include two brothers, Wayne and Gerald Underwood both of Florida.
Mr. Underwood was a member of First Lutheran Church in Albemarle and was very active in the church activities and the Lutheran Men?s group.
