Henry Osborne Jordan, 92, of Albemarle passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 in his home.? His funeral service will be held at graveside at 4 PM on Monday in Stanly Gardens of Memory with Rev. Reggie Jordan officiating.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 2 until 3:30 before departing for the graveside service.
Born March 10, 1925 in Clinch Co., GA, he was the son of the late Eli Alexander Jordan and Lizie Dieas Jordan.? He was a long haul truck driver and a WWII Veteran of the US Navy.? Mr. Jordan was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Springer Jordan.? Survivors include sons Reggie Jordan of Hagerstown, MD, Sherrill Jordan of Oakboro, NC and Ricky Jordan of Albemarle, sister Vashti J. Wallace of Tallahassee, FL, as well as 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.? Three brothers Aaron, Alvin and Coy preceded him in death.
