Henry Jay Frye's Obituary
Henry ?Red? Jay Frye, 92, of Richfield, N.C. passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Bethany Woods Nursing Center in Albemarle. His funeral will be Wednesday, December 2 at 4 PM at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Richfield with Rev. Harold Smith and Rev. Todd Tucker officiating. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 till 3 at Stanly Funeral Home.
Born May 19, 1923 in Kings Mountain, he was the son of the late Jason O. Frye and Pearl Hamm Frye.? He was a member and one of the founders of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Frye was also a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Farmer Frye and sister, Aileen ?Tink? Cranford. He is survived by one daughter, Diane Frye Vanhoy of Richfield. Other survivors include two grandsons, Patriot Guard Rider, Jay Vanhoy and wife Marie of Richfield and Mickey Vanhoy of Richfield, three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church.
