Helen Gibson Lockamy's Obituary
Helen Maxine Gibson Lockamy, 94, of Albemarle passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Albemarle officiated by Dr. Andy Jung. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will follow the funeral service at Fairview Memorial Park in Albemarle, NC.
Mrs. Lockamy was born June 29, 1922 in Stanly County to the late Bertie Thompson Gibson and Herbert Gibson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Albemarle and a retired secretary for Wiscasset Mills. Helen enjoyed volunteering at both the Stanly County Hospital as a greeter and with Stanly County Hospice as well.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Vaulton ?Bob? Lockamy and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lockamy is survived by special friends Sybil Cooper and Marry Ann Wilkinson and several nieces and nephews.
