I will never forget Helen's kindness to me during our time together at Central Methodist. Im sorry I just now heard of her passing. Great lady! She will be missed!
Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away†. May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.
Dear Buddy and family. Thinking about you today. Your mother and grandmother is more alive today than ever before! Enjoying being with our Lord and savior. She is also enjoying a reunion of those who have gone before her. May the Lord comfort your hearts and fill you with good memories of a life well lived. Love to you all! LuAnne and Amanda Yorke
My condolences Frank. I have great sympathy for you as I just lost my 89 year old mother also. You have always been a great friend to Robin and I know you are good people so to speak. There is nothing anybody can say to fill the hole in the heart of losing a mother as I can attest to most recently but I can say without knowing your mother she was part of the Great generation that taught us how to live and that is what I take with me moving forward and I hope you do as well. My heart goes out to you
I never had the opportunity to meet Helen, but I have met a few of her children and grandchildren. She certainly left her mark on them and they serve as a beautiful legacy and tribute to her character. May God comfort you all and hold you closely.
Frank, I am so sorry for your families loss. I had no clue that your mother had been in the same home as mine. Dawn told me your mother was a wonderful woman and just remember that we will see them again some day although I know it's hard - no more suffering though for them. You are in our thoughts and prayers...
Your mom was such a gracious person. I remember her helping with scouts. I also remember being at the parsonage many times hanging out with Ruth. Your family has always been special to me. May God Bless each of you. Love, Lee Ann Hauss
One of my favorite ladies! Ms. Helen was like family to me, as is the rest of the Hancock family. I will hold dear in my heart the many times I had the privilege to spend time with her at lunch, Frank's office and family reunions. She was and will be the light of many's lives. Rest in peace Ms. Helen and I know the angels are singing and rejoicing at your presents with the Lord.Â
I remember Miss Helen back when Robin and I were homeschooling our children. Then, Robin and Buddy were staying in the farmhouse. I remember the taste of the corn from her garden! Together, we celebrated our children's milestones. Miss Helen was among the family supporters. She loved all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. Reading her obituary amazed me. I knew her as a kind grandmother mostly to Buddy and Robin's brood, and a pastor's wife (though I never knew OL Hancock senior), but I am amazed by her life as an educator and the other benevolence she bestowed on her community. Her testament encourages me to continue to serve others in my sphere of influence. Our deepest sympathy to the Hancock Family. Kippen and Bill Southerland
I adored Helen and cherished every moment with her. Her love for the Lord, her family, gardening and serving others was an inspiration in so many ways. My favorite day with her was when she showed me around her Marshville home and told me stores to support why that place was so special to her. I was saddened by her decline in health as I knew her as smiling, vibrant, happy and full of life. I will always remember her so fondly and feel blessed the Lord brought her into my life. Â
