Hazel Almond McLaurin's Obituary
Hazel Almond McLaurin, 89, of Cornelius passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in her home. A private graveside service will be held in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle with Rev. James Lockleir officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.stanlyfuneralhome.com.
Born October 16, 1930 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Verdie Almond and Stella Russell Almond. Hazel enjoyed travelling to the beach and the mountains. She loved nature, early walks on the beach, and cherished the memories made with her family, especially her grandchildren. Hazel was a faithful Christian and loved sharing God?s love with everyone she met.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Amos, son, Alan McLaurin (Glenda) of Charleston, SC, daughter, Karen Biles (Dennis) of Rochester, MN, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her ten siblings.
