Glenna Collett Kirk's Obituary
Glenna Collett Kirk of New London passed away on May 2, 2025, at Trinity Place in Albemarle, NC. She was ninety-five at the time of her death. Glenna was born May 2, 1930, in Badin, NC to Paul Collett and Elizabeth Morgan Collett. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, James (Jimmie) Kirk, brother George Collett, and grandson Jody McPherson. She is survived by son Ronnie Kirk (Cathy Dennis), daughter Sandy Kirk (Ed Griffin), brothers Leon and Albert Julian, grandchildren Jamie McPherson (Michelle), Margaret Kirk, granddaughter-in-law Debbie McPherson Salling, great-grandchildren Liliana McPherson, Anabelle McPherson, Olivia McPherson, Joseph McPherson, Jacob McPherson, Karlie Griffin Grice (Zach), and great-great-grandson Griffin Grice. Glenna was a member of Gold Hill Methodist Church and burial will be in the church cemetery with only immediate family in attendance. Memorials may be made to Trinity Place of Albemarle, NC.
