Glenn's family were members of Bethel Baptist Church where the Hinson Reunion was held for over 50 years. A book could be written of the memories, especially the wash tubs full of iced down Pepsis and Cokes in the back of a pick-up truck, and no one was counting how many you took. A soft drink was a rare treat in our childhood. I have been told that Glenn's ancestors donated the land for the Church. Glenn grew up across the road from the church and later built his home beside the Church. For many years Glenn, his wife Brenda, and his sisters Becky and Collette and their families took care of procuring the fellowship hall for the reunion and then the majority of the task of cleaning and restoring the church to its previous state after everyone left. I remember Glenn as the "gentle giant" who led his family in ensuring that things happened in preparation for the reunions then dealt with the aftermath. I don't think I ever figured out if Glenn and I were second, third or fourth cousins, but I do know that he was a man that made a person happy, and proud to be a Hinson. Brenda and family you are in our prayers as we recall many wonderful memories. Virgil and Debbie Hinson
