Gladys Poplin Morton's Obituary
Gladys Louise Poplin Morton, age 100, passed away on August 7, 2020 surrounded by family. A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, August 9, 2020 in the Poplin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gladys was born in Stanly County to the late Luther Poplin and Mary Poplin. She was a charter member of Poplin Grove Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Gladys is survived by her son Ronald Morton (Frances) of Albemarle; grandchildren Kelly Morton (Brenda) of New London, Rhonda Kelly of New London, Kristen Huneycutt (Shaun) of Albemarle; great grandchildren: Josh Kelly, Jared Kelly, Jack Kelly (Karman), Alainna Huneycutt, Raelynn Huneycutt; great-great-grandchildren: Jase Kelly and Maggie Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Rayvon Morton and her son Phillip Morton.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Morton family.
