They say that to teach is to touch a life forever. Ms. Ferrell certainly touched many lives, mo e included. I'll never forget the cardboard reading house she had in her classroom, how she put stickers on our papers and stapled them to the board, and especially hiw she helped me pick out my first big-kid chapter book. I felt so special that day and she is a big part if the reason that I spent 26 years as a librarian in elementary schools helping kids discover reading the way she helped me.

Ma. Ferrell was so kind to me and my family. Her Friday spelling tests would be unpopular today but today's focus on reaching the social-emotional needs of every student - I'd bet she never had to attend a workshop to learn that. She told me I was smart and so I believed I was. Thank you, Ms. Ferrell.

Miss Ferrell was a good teacher with a kind and sweet personality who loved teaching. I knew her as I worked at school and my kids were students as well. We had a special "school family " at Aquadale for many years.
May she now rest in eternal peace.

Miss Ferrell was a very special lady she was my 2nd grade teacher, my older brothers & younger sisters she taught our whole family. She was a very close friend to my mother who was also a Teacher Assist.at Aquadale and worked with her for years. She will always be remembered by all the kids who passed through her doors and class room. ❤

Miss Ferrell was my second grade teacher at Aquadale school 1960-1961 ... She was the best teacher of all time.... Miss Ferrell never aged and was beautiful even in her later years... I will never forget her because she never forgot me... When I had been married 25 years she cut the pictures out of the paper and sent them to me... That's how special she was... Heaven has gained a very special angel.....
