I had the pleasure of working with Wayne at Penske. We became friends, as most people did that knew him. Wayne had an amazing attitude and a such a zest for life, work, and having fun. Wayne was extremely passionate about the NAVY, his service to our country, his work, his wife Lucy and family, all types of racing, and all the selfless hours and weekends he devoted to collecting and displaying all branches of Military history to educate and inspire people of all ages. Wayne would regularly decorate our lunchroom at Penske Engines with different and unique displays of the Military. After retiring from Penske, Wayne continued to stay in contact, occasionally going to lunches, dropping off treats, etc. What a tremendous and sincere human being! Wayne will be missed tremendously. God Speed sir, and thank you for everything you did for us.

Lucy, we are so sorry to hear about Wayne’s passing. We miss you all since we moved to the beach. Always loved spending time at Parkwood with you both and working so hard on the July celebrations. Wayne was my partner in crime at IBM for many years. We shared an office and a friendship and many IBM Suggestion Awards together. Took trips to recess and to see military stuff. Later, it was breakfast and catching up.
I shared his love of reading and he would gift me books. A wonderful man and friend.
