Georgia Ann Thomason Norton, 75, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 in CHS-Stanly.? Her funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday May 24, 2017 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leslie Lanier officiating.? Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 10 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.
Born May 13, 1942 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Dewey Tom Thomason and Nellie Mae Teeter Thomason.? She was of the Baptist Faith and she retired from Albemarle Spinning Mill.
Survivors include brother Dewey M. Thomason of Charlotte, sister Pauline Bish of Albemarle, special care giver Christy Rouse and a number of nieces and nephews.? Also surviving is her faithful companion Little Joe.? A sister Patricia Gail Burleson and a half-brother J. D. Freeman preceded her in death.? In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care to assist with funeral expenses.
