Georgia Carolyn Blake's Obituary
Georgia Carolyn Blake, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, NC passed away Sunday November 4, 2018 in her home. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday November 7, at St. Stephens Wesleyan Church with Rev. Gary Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 6 PM prior to the service in the church.
Born March 5, 1942 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late George Banks Blake and Margie Hartsell Blake. She attended St. Stephens Wesleyan Church and loved her church family. Carolyn enjoyed watching Nascar racing and spending time with her wonderful great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Delinda (Donnie) Huneycutt of Oakboro, Gail (Kelly) Whitley of Mt. Pleasant, and Wendy Martin of Mt. Pleasant, son, James (Rose) Woody of Mt. Pleasant, three sisters, Sylvia Lingerfelt, Betty Page, and Doris Burnette, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, William ?Bill? Kern, sister Aleen Smith, and brothers Walter Lee Blake, and John Carlton Blake.
