My thoughts and prayers are with you George and family.

I first met Tommy after our parents and, then our families, became friends. I never got used to calling him George or his other favorite nickname. My favorite story is when he went to pick up my Granny to babysit Doug. The only name he ever knew her by was Granny Goodwitch from the Sugar Crisp commercial. He kept asking for Granny Goodwitch until he found her! He was always such a kind, funny, and unique person and I will never forget him. Much love to his family!
George had such a kind spirit and always tried to make others smile….he was special and loved.
I didn't know George that well in school, even though we graduated together. But he was always friendly and everyone knew who he was. It was after I retired that I got to spend time with him and get to know him. A few of my high school would get together ( and still do) every Wednesday in Albemarle and hike/walk around places around there. He became a part of our little group. He would share his knowledge of trees and plants with us and I would learn a lot! He stopped coming around after a few years, and was greatly missed. Wasn't sure what happened to him after loosing touch. I remember a day when we all met at Annette Starnes's house and played horseshoes. He could get a ringer and make it look so easy. He was missed then when he stopped meeting with us. Due to his health I suppose. So sad that now he has moved on to a better place and won't be seeing him again. He was so nice and polite...always opening doors for people and asking if they needed help with anything. I always loved his long hair too. RIP George..
George was one of a kind. I know he was a good person and always willing to help anybody. He was also very funny. Prayers to his family🙏🏻❤️
