George Crowley Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. George "Buster" Crowley Jr, age 67, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Novant Health Thomasville.
Graveside Services with military honors to commemorate Buster's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Siler Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 6301 Weddington Road, Matthews, NC, 28104.
George was born January 8, 1954, in Union County, NC, a son of the late George Crowley Sr. and Cletis Thomas. A loyal and selfless man, he served our country through his service to the United States Army as a motor transportation operator. He was always willing to stand up for those who needed it. George was a beloved son and brother who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in all the lives he touched.
Those left to cherish George's memory include his mother, Cletis Thomas; his brother, Ernest Steve Crowley; his nephew, Ernest Crowley Jr.; his nephew, Christopher Brian Crowley; and 6 great-nieces.
In addition to his father, George was preceded in death by his sister, Cletis Ann Crowley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in George's memory be made to either Silar Presbyterian Church or Deal Care Inn, c/o Casey Black, 2002 Bell Ridge Court, Rockwell, NC, 28138.
