Geneva Thompson Moore's Obituary
Geneva Thompson Moore, age 89, born August 3, 1931, went to eternal rest on Monday, July 12, 2021. Geneva was the daughter of the late Adam Lindsay and Letha Mae Whitley Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her brother Joel Thompson and sister Brenda Maurice. She is survived by son Melvin Thomas “Tom” Moore and wife, Kolis (Whitley) Moore of Albemarle. She is also survived by her sister, Juanita Hatley of Albemarle and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Moore was a retired CRNA from Moore County Hospital and after her retirement, she worked in home health care for many years (until age 85). She worked in Stanly, Montgomery, and Union counties during her medical career. Geneva touched many lives with her special care and compassion for her patients and their families.
There will be a graveside service Thursday, July 15th at 4:00pm at the Fairview Memorial Park in Albemarle. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night, July 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Stanly Funeral Home in Albemarle. Jeremy Hyde, lead pastor of Mission Church in Locust, will be officiating the funeral service.
