Gene Howard Moose's Obituary
Gene Howard Moose, 86, of Albemarle passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.? His funeral will be 2 PM Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Hatley officiating.? Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.? The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the hour of the service.
Born September 18, 1929 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Guy Howard Moose and Virgie Leo Barringer Moose and was a retired Dairy Farmer and owner and operator of Moose Dairy.? Mr. Moose was a member of First Baptist Church in Albemarle.? He was active in organizing South Side Volunteer Fire Dept. and served as Chief, Treasurer and various other offices.
He was preceded in death by his wife Broyce Snuggs Moose in 2013.? Survivors include son Howard Moose and wife Sonya of Albemarle, daughter Donna M. Sinclair and husband Art of Chester, Virginia, 5 grandchildren Daniel A. Sinclair and wife Emilee of Wilmington, NC, Andrew T. Sinclair and wife Amy of Midlothian, VA, Kellie M. Perkins and husband Stewart of Foley, AL, Nathan H. Moose and Davis G. Moose, both of Albemarle, and 4 great-grandchildren Jackson, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Elianah and a sister Adelaide Moose Pickler of Charlotte.? A granddaughter Breann Lee Moose preceded him in death.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Charity of the Donor?s Choice.
