Gary Gene Starcher's Obituary
Mr. Gary Gene Starcher, age 77, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the McWhorter Hospice House of Union County.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gary G. Starcher will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel,1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Reverend Don Meadows, Reverend Ben Meeks and Pastor Gregory Spaulding.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Starcher was born on November 18, 1938, in Spencer, West Virginia, a son of the late Leonard Starcher and Effie Bowers Starcher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Faye Starcher who passed in 2015.
Gary was a retired computer programmer. He was formerly associated with Union Carbide Corp., United Carolina Bank, and Coca Cola Consolidated.
He was a US Navy veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbra Coward and husband Joey Coward of Darlington, SC; two grandsons, Brady Seals of Bennettsville, SC and Bradley Coward of Darlington, SC; two granddaughters, Stacey Coward of Darlington, SC and Kennedi Moran of Darlington, SC; a sister, Lynette Cross and husband Larry Cross of Morgantown, WV; brother in law, Larry Slider and wife Janice Slider of Cameron, NC.
There are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home, prior to the funeral ceremony.
