When in my childhood home in CA for our wedding, Gary sat on the couch and picked up a book I had written and illustrated about a mermaid. I didn’t know about it until I saw the pictures later.
But more importantly, all the times he let our son AJ sit in his lap and drive the boat at the lake. And sharing his fishing expertise with AJ too- patiently teaching him what he knew. Such a gift.
