Gary Garber was the kind of person who didn’t just open his home — he opened his heart. Along with Aunt Martha their house was a place where people felt welcomed, safe, and truly at ease, and his life was one lived with generosity, patience, and quiet strength. Gary had a rare way of making everyone feel like they belonged, never rushing a moment and always offering kindness without expectation.
So many of us were lucky to experience the simple, meaningful joys he shared — the laughter around fish fries, the boat trips, the stories told and memories made. Those moments weren’t just gatherings; they were gifts, and they will forever live in my heart. I am deeply grateful for Gary’s kindness, his patience, and the countless ways he touched so many lives.
Rest in peace, Gary. You will always be remembered, always appreciated, and never forgotten.
