Gail Clawson's Obituary
Ms. Gail Courtney Clawson, age 57, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at CMC-Union.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2524 Stack Road, officiated by Reverend Shad Hicks and Reverend Meredith Marlin.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
Ms. Clawson was born on September 5, 1957, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of Ruth Purser Courtney and the late George (Geeky) Courtney, Jr.
She was a personal care giver with Home Instead Senior Care Company.
She is survived by two daughters, Amanda Kurtz and Rich Barker of Monroe and Melinda Williams and Barry Williams of Pageland, SC; her mother, Ruth Purser Courtney of Monroe; two brothers, Ernie Courtney of Monroe and Mike Courtney and Tracy Courtney of Marshville; two sisters, Deborah Rape and David Rape of Marshville, and Chrystal Courtney and Brian Rape of Monroe.
There are three granddaughters, Kalee Starnes, Shay Starnes both of Pageland, SC, and Olivia Kurtz of Monroe; one grandson, Zane Kurtz of Monroe.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday night , July 31, 2015, at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 East Franklin Street.
